Tanvi supports the Movement Capacity Building team at Race Forward. Prior to Race Forward, Tanvi was a Social and Behavioral Research Assistant at Howard Brown Health in Chicago, where they worked on research projects aiming to eliminate disparities in healthcare experienced by the LGBTQ+ community. Tanvi has also worked in policy research and advocacy, and they graduated from Roosevelt University in 2019 with a BA in Social Justice Studies & Mathematics.

Tanvi is also currently a collective member of Chicago Desi Youth Rising, an organization that facilitates political education and community building with South Asian young people, and supports issue-based campaigns led by young, working-class people of color.


Tanvi was first catalyzed as a young person when they organized around education justice at their high school, and has since been committed to racial, economic, and social justice movements. In their free time, you can find Tanvi crafting, hiking, experimenting in the kitchen, tending to their plants, and practicing lots of self-care.
