GARE Membership Coordinator

Lindsay Teeples-Mitchell (she/her) is joining the GARE team as the Membership Coordinator after spending over a decade working in K-12 education both domestically and abroad.
She was fortunate to work and learn within the public and private sectors, refugee settlement organizations and juvenile detention centers where she saw the impact systemic racism had on the educational experiences and opportunities youth in her community were afforded. These experiences instilled a lifelong passion to advocate for educational equity and helped her clarify the necessity of government to ensure all students receive an accessible, culturally responsive and liberating education.
She holds a B.A in English and Psychology from Alma College and a M.A. in Education and Social Justice from the University of York. In her non-professional life, she is a podcast enthusiast, an amateur potter, NPR devotee, runner, book lover, plant fanatic and avid traveler.
