The Federal Program Team Outreach and Marketing Director is accountable for overseeing all internal and external outreach and communications for the Federal Initiative to Govern for Racial Equity. This role is responsible for managing an outreach and communications plan activities and building external relationships with the organization's constituencies, and will work with Race Forward's Media Relations Manager on media relations. The Outreach and Marketing Director develops a proactive outreach and communications strategy and ensures messaging is consistent and engaging.

The Federal Government Team Project Coordinator supports the Federal Team with developing processes to achieve efficient deployment of programs and capacity building activities. The Project Coordinator is tasked to perform a variety of programmatic and administrative duties that serve to support or advance Federal Team programs and initiatives. The Project Coordinator helps the Team to maintain its relationships with programmatic partners, provides administrative support to research and communications, engaging in research on an as needed basis and assists with events planning.
The Director will work with the Federal Strategies Deputy Director in shaping and executing the research and policy vision of the Federal Initiative. The Project Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating research for the federal team; developing research and policy fact sheets, issue papers and reports that align with racial equity and governance for featuring in reports, presentations, media outreach, and curricula; and assisting with the development and execution of Race Forward's research and policy agenda broadly.
The Deputy Director of Federal Strategies will assist with the development and implementation of the strategic plan of the Federal Initiative to Govern for Racial Equity. The initiative is time bound, and the Deputy Director will ensure the initiative remains on schedule. The Deputy Director will oversee operations and the budget as well as supervises a 3 to 5-person team.
